i-evAALution
The project combines modern consumer products with innovative AAL technologies. It is testing and evaluating them in a long-term study.
i-evAALution was an international research and development project in the field of Active & Assisted Living (AAL). The aim of the project was to improve access to innovative AAL solutions and to evaluate their benefits for older people in real-life conditions.
To this end, modern consumer products were combined with innovative AAL technologies and tested as part of a large-scale, long-term study. The focus was on how digital assistance solutions can improve the quality of life for older people whilst simultaneously creating social and economic added value.
Impact in practice
As part of the i-evAALution project, innovative technologies were used in real-life everyday situations over an extended period and monitored scientifically. This provided valuable insights into the acceptance, usability and effectiveness of AAL solutions.
The project demonstrated how modern consumer products and digital assistive technologies can be effectively combined to support older people in their daily lives, promote their independence and improve their quality of life. At the same time, important insights were gained into the socio-economic feasibility and sustainable use of such technologies.
