The concept and calculation model for the SAM TOOL were developed as part of several research projects at the University of Innsbruck and in collaboration with partners from industry. Based on the context and the life cycle stage of your product or service, the SAM TOOL shows you the most suitable methods for user involvement.

The platform automatically suggests the most suitable method from a selection of 46 different user engagement methods, based on the parameters entered. The methods are explained and their advantages and disadvantages are outlined.

Together with the i-evAALution project, the AAL domain and its calculation model were further extended. Furthermore, the SAM tool is used and validated within the i-evAALution project to support the development of the business model.
